Preschool
The Preschool of the Ciudad de México School is characterized by being a space that encourages the development of skills within an environment of safety, trust and always establishing the well-being and emotional stability of children as the central axis.
This stage of development is essential to lay the foundations and consolidate skills for the future life. The neurodevelopmental findings indicate that children must move to learn, feel and experience their environment to make the neural connections that allow them to develop creativity, imagination and functions that help them to make decisions and self-control. We build learning environments according to each topic, we use the forest, the classrooms, the patio, the farm and nature as spaces to promote play and inquiry. For this reason the exposure and consolidation of psychomotor, sensory, language, logical-mathematical thinking, as well as social skills and creative problem solving, are fundamental. Our programs and goals, in both English and Spanish, are aimed at helping children grow to their full potential and develop these life skills.
The program is carried out from Maternal, which is integrated into Kinder I, Kinder II and Pre-primary (Kinder III). All levels have a bilingual base that consists of exposure to English for half the day and the rest of the day to Spanish. Our approach is multicultural in which children learn about their context but also about the importance of knowing and enriching who they are based on cultural differences.
The schedule for Kinder I and Kinder II is from 8:45 am to 1:00 pm while Pre-Primary has a class schedule from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm During this time, they are exposed to the English class and the Spanish class, in addition to special classes such as psychomotor skills, physical education, music, knowledge of the world, art and digital laboratory, in which the complementary skills of each subject are developed.
