The Ciudad de México School as well as the IB World Schools that implement the Primary Years Program (PYP) recognize and seek to promote the diverse capacities - physical, social, intellectual, aesthetic and cultural - of their students, which allows them offer an interesting, relevant, stimulating and meaningful learning experience. These aspects of learning are encompassed in a transdisciplinary approach that is student-centered for children between the ages of 3 and 12.

Transdisciplinary learning in the PYP results in learning that is relevant within, between and beyond the subjects, and that transcends the barriers that limit them in order to connect them with the real world.

They support the training of "internationally minded people who are aware of the condition that unites them as human beings and of the responsibility they share to watch over the planet."

The following transdisciplinary themes are addressed in the IB Primary Years Program (PYP):

  • About us

  • Where we are in time and space

  • How we express ourselves

  • How the world works

  • How we organize ourselves

  • How we share the planet
